NACADA - Kansas State University Graduate EducationOn-line Graduate Certificate in Academic AdvisingOn-line Master of Science in Academic Advising Degree
Kansas State University offers both a Graduate Certificate in Academic Advising in Higher Education and a Master of Science in Academic Advising Degree in partnership with NACADA. Both academic advising graduate programs provide an opportunity for faculty, full-time academic advisors, and administrators to gain an understanding of myriad issues and skills needed to deliver effective academic advising at the post-secondary level of education.
These programs are designed for:
1. advisors and administrators who desire more formal education related to academic advising
2. faculty seeking advising knowledge beyond their discipline
3. graduate students anticipating academic advising roles in higher education.
4. persons interested in working directly with student athletes
The Certificate program involves 15 semester credit hours of coursework. The Masters degree offers additional coursework with two options: (1) "Advising Administration" and (2) "Intercollegiate Athletics and the College Student." All coursework is offered at a distance via the Internet. Classes are delivered within a semester time frame and are somewhat flexible in schedule. Students work independently, yet share comments and questions via electronic communications.

American Institute of Health Care Professionals
The American Institute of Health Care Professionals, Inc., offers a full Continuing Education program of online courses for those seeking Certification in Crisis Intervention Consulting.
Upon completion of the seven (7) courses detailed below, eligible applicants may apply for and receive certification as a Certified Crisis Intervention Consultant. Each course is provided for in a dedicated online classroom. The courses are designed as independent study/continuing education courses, with one-to-one faculty mentoring. There is open enrollment and students may register and begin the education program at anytime. Students must meet the eligibility criteria, as provided below, to register for these continuing education courses.
