The hovering is sometimes accompanied by a tendency to be demanding, forceful and even abusive towards staff and college personnel. The result can be employees who are frustrated and burned out. Proper training can help personnel handle even the most inappropriate parent with poise and professionalism.

Presentation by Dr. Brian VanBrunt and Perry Francis, Ed.D, NCC, LPC
Knowledge about motivations behind parent behavior
Techniques based on the art of persuasion
What and How faculty/staff/administrator responses add fuel to the fire
Aggression Management , Motivational Interviewing, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Techniques
